Dr. Simon Habteab, one of the top students in his high school, achieved a 4.0 in the Ethiopian Living Certificate Examination. He joined Gendar University and later specialized at Addis Abeba University to further his medical expertise.
After witnessing the challenges and shortage of quality medical services in Ethiopia, he founded Vision Health Care PLC to help fill this critical gap. During a work trip to Bangkok, he saw that the medical industry had expanded, and he was inspired to bring that level of organized, modern, and patient-centered care to his community.
Dr. Simon is known for his people-centered leadership style, giving autonomy to his employees and empowering them to grow. Many of his team members have been with him since the beginning of the business. Today, Vision Health Care PLC has over 100 dedicated staff members, supporting patients and their families and the future of our team through meaningful employment and development opportunities.
